NCDOT to Close Two Davidson County Roads for Pipe Replacement

Temporary Road Closures Announced in Davidson County for Pipe Replacement

DENTON– Residents and commuters in Davidson County should prepare for temporary road closures next week as the N.C. Department of Transportation undertakes essential infrastructure work.

Starting at 8 a.m. on Monday, Farmer Road and North Main Street will be closed to allow for the replacement of storm pipes beneath the roadway. These closures are expected to last three days, with both roads scheduled to reopen by 5 p.m. on Friday, weather permitting.

To minimize disruption, detours will be clearly marked for each route. Traffic on Farmer Road will be rerouted via N.C. 109 and Toms Creek Church Road, while those traveling on North Main Street will follow a detour through N.C. 109 and East Salisbury Street.

Motorists are encouraged to plan their trips accordingly and follow all posted detour signs to ensure safe travel during the construction period.
