Martin Street Closure for Sewer Line Work as Part of NC 66 Project

Temporary Road Closure Scheduled in Forsyth County for Infrastructure Upgrade

WALKERTOWN – The N.C. Department of Transportation has announced a temporary closure of Martin Street in Forsyth County. This is part of the ongoing N.C. 66 Widening Project aimed at improving local infrastructure.

Weather permitting, the closure is set to begin on Monday at 9:00 AM. Martin Street at N.C. 66 will be inaccessible to all traffic due to the installation of a new sewer line. The road is anticipated to reopen by 5:00 PM on Tuesday.

During the closure, a signed detour will be in place to help guide motorists around the affected area. Drivers are urged to adhere to posted detour signs and exercise caution when navigating through the region.
