Engaging Storytime Awaits at Parkway Central Library
Families with young children have a delightful opportunity to engage in fun and educational activities at the Parkway Central Library. This beloved community institution is hosting a series of storytime sessions, inviting toddlers and their caregivers to join in the fun.
Each session, led by the enthusiastic Miss Mary, features an array of stories, songs, rhymes, and bounces that cater specifically to children aged 2 and under. Following the engaging storytime, little ones can enjoy additional playtime, providing a perfect blend of learning and play.
Weather conditions dictate the location of these lively sessions. During cooler weather, the storytime takes place in the comfort of the auditorium on the library’s ground floor. On warmer days, participants can enjoy the outdoor ambiance of Shakespeare Park, situated just across the street from the library.
These events are a part of the “Read, Baby, Read” series, an initiative dedicated to fostering language and literacy development among the youngest members of the community and their caregivers. This enriching program is supported by a generous grant from the William Penn Foundation.
