Bridge Replacement Project to Close Guilford County Road for Nearly a Year
GIBSONVILLE – A significant infrastructure project is set to impact traffic in Guilford County as a contractor for the N.C. Department of Transportation plans to close a local road for nearly a year.
The closure, scheduled to commence at 7 a.m. on July 15, affects Running Creek Road between Troxler Mill and High Rock Roads. This interruption will facilitate the construction of a new bridge, with the aim of reopening the road to traffic by June 2025.
To assist drivers during this period, a signed detour will be in place. The detour will guide motorists around the closed section, utilizing Troxler Mill, Osceola-Ossipee, and High Rock Roads.
Motorists are encouraged to exercise caution and adjust their travel plans to accommodate potential delays caused by the detour.
